Introduction
The Cordant Edge Gateway is powered by 20-57V and has a hard wire connection because it operates in a hazardous environment.
The customer is expected to supply the power supply infrastructure as part of the customer action list.
The Cordant Edge gateway (Node) must be connected to a dedicated power supply by a certified electrician on behalf of the site before Augury’s installation visit.
If the customer requests it, a power rectifier, which converts from AC to DC, can be provided by Augury at no additional cost. It must be installed and connected to the communication node by a customer-certified electrician before Augury’s installation visit.
Connect the power supply
Make sure that there’s a 20-57 VDC available to power the gateway. The power supply must be connected by a certified electrician.
1: Connect the free end of the M12 4-pin A-coded connector power cable, supplied by Augury as part of the Cordant Gateway Kit, to the power supply using the following schematics and image.
2: Separate the blue and brown reset wires and tape them using insulation tape, otherwise, the system resets itself.
3: Connect the cable to the M12 power connector on the bottom of the gateway.
4: Check that the green LED light turns on.
