This article walks you through the registration, activation, and network configuration of the Cassia X2000.
Register the Cassia X2000 gateway
To register the Cassia X2000 (labeled a Node in the app), you need to have the Halo installation app.
1: Log into the Halo installation app. It opens on the Field Jobs page.
2: Tap the relevant installation field job.
3: Tap the + at the bottom of the screen for the add menu.
4: Tap the node icon to add a new node.
5: The camera opens. Scan the Cassia's barcode or tap T and manually enter the serial number.
6: Enter the node name and installation location, then tap Add Node.
7: The gateway/node is now part of a job with a Mounted status. Don't click 'Activate Node' until you've read Step 1 in the following section.
Following the registration process, you can map machines to the node without the node being activated or connected to a power source.
Activate and connect the node
Perform the following steps to activate the Cassia X2000 and select the desired connectivity configuration using the installation app.
The Cassia Gateway must be plugged into a power source before activation.
We recommend using the power supply at a temporary location, before mounting the power supply and Cassia gateway on the bracket in its final location.
1: Connect the Cassia Gateway to a power supply and verify that the LED lights are green.
2: Tap Activate Node for the relevant node.
3: The application scans for the node.
4: When the node is located, a connection authorization message appears. Tap Connect.
5: Once the connection is established, the Internet Settings pane appears. Select the desired connectivity mode and tap Save. The Augury Router is selected by default.
The following section provides configuration details for each connection type.
Connection settings
Augury router
1: Select Augury Router and tap Save.
2: A "Node is being activated" message appears. This can take up to 90 seconds.
3: When the node is successfully activated, the node status changes to Activated.
4: Tap the activated node to view its connection details. This is available ten minutes after activation.
Wi-Fi
1: Select Wifi and then provide the site's Wi-Fi SSID and password. Then tap Save. Make sure that the network is available, tested, and in range, and that the credentials are entered correctly.
2: A "Node is being activated" message appears. This can take up to 90 seconds.
3: When activation is complete, you'll see a success message that includes the active node name.
4: When the node is successfully activated, the node status changes to Activated.
5: Tap the activated node to view its connection details. This is available ten minutes after activation.
Cellular
1: Select Cellular and tap Save.
Note that the default APN is wbdata. If you use a SIM card that isn't "webbing", change the APN and then click Save.
2: A "Node is being activated" message appears. This can take up to 90 seconds.
3: When activation is complete, you'll see a success message that includes the active node name.
4: When the node is successfully activated, the node status changes to Activated.
If network issues are detected following activation, you'll see a message with the relevant details.
5: Tap the activated node to view its connection details. This is available ten minutes after activation.
Verify network connectivity
1: If there is power and an Internet connection, the Cassia X2000's The relevant LED lights turn green. This takes between 10 to 30 seconds.
2: In the Augury app, search for the recently installed gateway serial number/name and verify that the gateway is connected with a sufficient signal. If so, machines can be mapped to the Cassia gateway.
3: Disconnect the Cassia X2000 from the power supply in the temporary location.
You now need to map the gateway to a machine.
