Purpose
Learn how to install, operate, and troubleshoot the Augury Halo NODE V2.0
Node v2.0 overview
The Augury Halo Node v2.0 (e.g. Node) is the smart wireless gateway and Endpoint (e.g. EP or EPs) controller.
The Node is a part of the Augury halo System for real-time continuous diagnostics solutions for Machine Health.
The Node's main functions are controlling and uploading data collected by the Eps sensors to the Augury cloud and downloading work configurations and "Over The Air" (OT A) firmware updates to the Eps
The Node communicates with the EPs via BLE 4.2 and to the web either via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet Cable.
The Node supports PoE installations.
The Node is certified for IP66.

Safety and certifications
The Halo Node is only used and installed as part of a full Augury Halo system installation by certified Augury installers.
To become a certified Augury installer, you must complete the Augury training and understand the safety and technical limitations of the system and the installation sites.
When installing the Node, the responsible party or integrator shall use 100-240VAC power input compliant with local Electrical Codes and Regulations.
The Node must be connected to a socket-outlet with earthing/grounding connection.
The max. Ambient operating temperature is -25°C'"'-'+70°C
Wi-Fi highest rated output power: 20 dBm.
BLE highest rated output power: 8 dBm.
BLE frequency band: 2400MHz - 2483.5 MHz
Wi-Fi frequency band: 2412MHz~2462MHz ,2422MHz~2462MHz
The operation of this equipment is subject to the following two conditions:
This equipment or device may not cause harmful interference
This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause its undesired operation.
This is a class A Product. ln a domestic environment, this product may cause radio interference in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures.
Physical installation
Node Location
Position the Node as far as possible from high humidity/ heavy water jets and rain environments.
The communication between the Node and the EPs is via BLE. The distance between the EPs and Node should be up to ~ 15m (~45 ft)
Optimal Node to EP signal strength should be below -75dBm - Validated BLE signal strength in the Halo installation App.
If needed, use a BLE antenna extension cable to bring the antenna closer to the EPs.
The Node must be in the range of the Wi-Fi coverage (in a speed test app > 2.0 MBPS Upload recommended. > 2.0 MBPS Download at a minimum).
lnstall up to 32 endpoints to Node (With Multiple machines) Prerequisite: Node FW Version must be v26 and above*
*node to be updated via OTA post-activationHave a clear line of sight as possible (Minimal obstructions) between the Node and all the EPs.
Install on an uncluttered location on a wall or beam at preferably 1.5m (5ft) above the ground.
Only use certified (WHITE) ANTENNAS (5/7 dBi Outdoor Dual Band Omni Antenna Kit Manufacturer, Trendnet PN: TEW-A057- Version 1.0R). Supplied by Augury in the Node box.
The Ethernet port can be used for providing internet connectivity and PoE connection
Avoid locations where machinery is passing.
Avoid the elements as much as possible, if there is a shaded or a wind blocker use it.
lnstall a safe, electrician-approved power outlet 100-240VAC.
Outdoor outlet covers also known as "ln Service" covers should be used to prevent water from shorting out the device.
Make sure the Node location allows the antennas to fit and the cable reaches the outlet.
Plan for aesthetic, neat cable management, and Secure the slack with zip ties.
In case of using the site Wi-Fi, add the new FCC 1D sticker חס top of the existing one
Mounting
Make sure the"Wall mount bracket" is leveled and esthetically spread out on the wall.
Try to have the same height and equal distances between HW components.Secure the"Wallmountbracket" with at least 2 screws.
Screw type depends on surface construction i.e. ,concrete ,steel, and wood
When fastening to steel columns:
Steel columns can be challenging for traditional self-drilling metal screws.
We recommend using the l/4" Beam Clamp
lf unavailable: Drill a thru-hole and then use a standard bolt/nut arrangement.
Use, where possible, a lock washer top to prevent loosening.
Slide from top to bottom the Node onto the "Wall mount bracket" until fully engaged and make sure it's secure.
Make sure the Node with the correct Plug/Augury cable with a power plug is used.
Use Power strips/surge protectors any time multiple devices are connected to one outlet.
Secure the Antennas tightly to connectors.
The power cord must be connected to a socket outlet with an earthing connection.
