Basic Node Troubleshooting

This guide's purpose is to provide basic instructions on how to identify and resolve Halo Node IoT issues.

Contact the support team via [email protected] or the Get Help tab on the top of the screen if this guide does not resolve or address the issue.

Before you Begin

Understanding some of the Node basic features before you begin troubleshooting will help resolve the issues faster and more accurately.

The Node Parts

Caution! NEVER disassemble the Node! It is extremely dangerous.

The Halo Installation App

Scan the QR Code with your Android camera to download the Halo Installation App. The App provides real-time updates on the Node’s connectivity status.

The LED Indicators

Node Troubleshooting is based on the LED indications, make sure you know them.

The LEDs of a Healthy Node

When a Node is working correctly, all three LED indicators will be green. The BLE flashes green as it communicates to the cloud, while the Power and Network indicators remain solid Green.

Troubleshooting Node Issues

Issue: All LEDs are OFF

This is a power supply issue. Take the following actions to resolve this.

  • Confirm that the Node outlet/Ethernet port connection (POE) is functional and is powering the node

  • Check that the node power cord male and female connectors are tight and locked

  • If power is available, power cycle the Node by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in

  • Plug another device to the Node power outlet/Ethernet cable (POE). If the device is operating replace the Node.

  • If issues consist, contact Augury Support for advanced troubleshooting.

Issue: Network LED is Solid RED

This is a connectivity issue. Take the following actions to resolve this.

  • Confirm the network is available (Augury Cellular or Site Wi-Fi/Lan). If not, confirm power to the router and power cycle it.

  • Power cycle the Node by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in

  • Inspect the Node for damage then ensure the antennas are correctly tightened.

  • If issues consist, contact Augury Support for advanced troubleshooting.

Issue: Network LED is Flashing GREEN

The node is in Hotspot mode. Take the following action to resolve this.

  • Hold down the mode button for about ~ 15 seconds until all the LEDs flash orange then red then turn off.

  • The Node will reset itself and change to Ethernet Mode if Ethernet is available. The Network LED will be turned Solid Green

Issue: Communication LED is Solid RED

The Node is experiencing Bluetooth communication issues. Take the following action to resolve this.

  • Power cycle the Node by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. If the status does not change replace the Node.
