Install Locations
Most Centrifugal Compressors use Fluid Film bearings (Sleeve bearing, Journal bearing, Plain Bearing) instead of rolling element bearings. Augury typically does not install on Fluid Film bearings.
For externally geared Single Stage Compressors, install on the gearbox as usual. Install on the bearings on either side of the compressor.
For internally geared compressors, install on both Bull Gear bearings and on both Compressor Shaft bearings.
