Install Locations
Most centrifugal multistage compressors may be Fluid Film Bearings (Sleeve / Journal / Plain bearings) and not rotating element bearings like Ball / Cylinder / Roller Bearings. We typically only install on rotating element bearings like Ball / Cylinder / Roller Bearings.
Note that the Bull Gear shaft likely has a second bearing on the other side of the machine (NDE).
Identify where the bearings are located on the machine and what type of bearings they are before installing.
Even though there is a bull gear and each of the stages is driven by gears in a gearbox, the entire component should be marked as "Driven Equipment" and not "Gearbox." Map the endpoints: Bull Gear DE then NDE; Then in order from first stage to last stage.

Install Locations
For inline multistage centrifugal compressors, install on the bearings on either side of each compressor stage.
