For Chillers, check whether the design of the chiller is Hermetically Sealed. Augury cannot monitor certain types of Hermetically Sealed Chillers; see an Augury Expert for the correct monitoring solution on a case by case basis.
Some Chiller Designs may use a Magnetic Bearing design or Fluid Film Bearing (Journal / Sleeve / Plain Bearing). Augury typically does not monitor Magnetic or Fluid Film Bearings.
Install Locations
Some designs of chillers have a gearing between the motor and the compressor. In this instance, monitor each gear bearing.
