How to Work With Multi-Selector Navigation

In this article, you will learn how to navigate and consume data from multiple hierarchies easily.

Flexible company structure

Augury has flattened the company structure and removed regions, facilities, and branches. The change helps companies organize their data in a way that better follows their organization. It also allows for flexibility if the structure needs revising.

To enable this flattened structure, Augury has taken all the previous regions, facilities and branches and created groups. From now on, under company structure the customer will only see Company, sites, and buildings, and under them the custom groups created.

When you open the Augury platform, you’ll see the company you’re registered under as a user, unless you set up a default view (see step 7 below). The machine health, IoT data, reports, and so on, refer to the machines registered under the company that you have permission to view.

As long as you have permission, you can select multiple companies, sites, and buildings, and view their performance.

How to select a view

  1. Tap the selector at the top left of the screen. This displays the Customize view dialog.

  2. In the View of dropdown, select what you want to see, companies, buildings or groups.

    1. If you choose Company and have more than one, these will be listed.

    2. If you choose Sites, they are by default aggregated by Company, so the sites are listed under each company.

    3. If you choose Buildings, they are by default aggregated by Site, so the buildings are listed under each site.

  3. You can also simply list all the sites or buildings (as you’ve selected) without any aggregation. In the Aggregate by dropdown, select Flat list.

  4. You can also search for the group or building you require.

  5. Select the sites and buildings you require.

  6. Next to each aggregation you can click Select all, and Clear all once selected.

  7. If you want this view displayed whenever you enter the platform, click Set as my default view.

  8. When you’ve finished, click Apply. The view changes to display the information for the selected sites on all the pages such as the “Machine health, IoT health, and Reports” pages. This is also reflected in the selector.
