Adding an Observation in the Mobile App
When you are in the field, you might notice something about the machine that you want to document to convey special conditions that might play a role during the diagnostics process. These might be visual observations, sounds that you hear, or information provided to you by someone at the facility. You would document this information as an observation in the Auguscope mobile app.
To add an observation to the machine, go to the machine in the app.
Click Add Observation.
Choose the component you are logging the observation on, enter in a description of your observation, edit the date if necessary, and finally attach photos if applicable.
When complete, click Done. That's it, you've added an observation in the mobile app.
Adding an Observation in the Web App
You can also log observations on the web application. When you are on the machine level within the web dashboard you can add observations about the machine. Hover over add observation or repair and click observation. Using the Augscope you should generally only log observations under machine health. Add your notes in the text box and then modify the date, time, and add a file or image to the observation. When complete, click done.
That's how you add an observation through the web dashboard.
One thing to note is that observations are included on the reports generated that you might receive. So be aware of the information you submit as an observation and be cognizant of the audience that will see it.
