Replace a Node Via Field Job tab

A node can be replaced both from the Field job tab and the Installed tab

See printed and visual instructions in the attached file below.

Before You Start

Make sure the replacement node is:

  • Turned on

  • The node is In Hotspot Mode (Network LED is Flashing GREEN)
    Note: in case the Network LED isn't flashing green, follow the below steps

  • Configured to the network (online)

Tools Needed

Supplied by the Customer

  • Android device

  • Active power source (110-240 VAC/POE)

Supplied by Augury

  • Halo Node

Step 1: Setting Up the New Node

  1. Node Mounting

    1. Open the HALO Install App

    2. Tap "Field Jobs" tab

    3. Tap on the relevant installation job

    4. Tap the "Plus" button on the bottom right

    5. Tap the node icon

    6. Scan the node SN/Enter SN manually

    7. Fill in the node name

    8. Select Building

    9. Add Locations or notes

    10. Internet settings

    11. Tap "Mount Node"

  2. Node Activation

    1. Supply power to the node

    2. Locate the node to activate

    3. Tap "Activate Node"

    4. Node serial # will appear momentarily

    5. Select the relevant node

    6. Choose the relevant network settings

    7. Tap "Save"

    8. The node will be fully registered on the job screen

Step 2: Replacing the Node in the Halo Installation App

  1. Enter the job in the app

  2. Press and hold on the node you wish to replace. NOTE: if the node does not already have EPs mapped to it, you will only be able to delete it. See step 3, "Deleting the Old Node" for steps.

  3. Tap on "Replace"

  4. Select the node to replace with

  5. Approve the node replacement

Step 3: Deleting the Old Node Out of the Halo Installation App

  1. Enter the job in the app

  2. Press and hold the node you wish to delete. NOTE: if the node already has EPs mapped to it, you will only be able to replace/edit it. See section 2, "Replacing the Node" for steps.

  3. Tap on "Delete"

  4. Approve the deleted node

The network LED is not flashing green.

  • Hold down the mode button for about ~ 15 seconds until all the LEDs flash orange, then red, then turn off.

  • The Node will reset itself and change to Hotspot Mode.

  • The Network LED will be Flashing GREEN.
