Endpoint Self-Test (E1, E2)

Introduction

This document provides a step-by-step description of how to perform the production final test, a power-on Self-Test to confirm that the Halo EP unit is working properly.

The test process should follow the steps described in this document.

Preparations and Setup

Stage 1

A. The power on Self-Test is performed before closing the lid on the completed unit. It is performed on the final assembled unit, including the battery, before attaching the top lid.

B. The self-test shall be done while EP is on a s table location.

Power On

Stage 2

A. Power on the Halo unit, the unit performs a quick internal check to confirm that it is working properly.

B. At power up the Halo unit will indicate that the test was performed by flashing each one of the LEDs on the front of the unit once, in the following sequence. (Blue, Red, Green).

Note: Make sure to perform with the battery that will be shipped with the unit.

C. The test's possible results will then be indicated by flashing the LEDs as illustrated in the following table.

Post Test

Stage 3

Note: Make sure the Halo cover is properly aligned and fully tightened prior to final packaging

Passed Test

Halo unit is working properly.

Unit Battery is low

Replace the battery and retest.

Failed test

A component is malfunctioning. Contact support to diagnose the issue.

If the failed test result is constant red, mark the unit as faulty and contact support to receive a replacement EP and coordinate the pickup of the faulty unit.

The Halo unit hasn’t gone through all the production testing stations.

NOTE: The three LEDs will not flash at the beginning of the test as indicated in section 2.b.
