How Auguscope Works

Updated over 5 months ago

The first time you take measurements on a machine, you will need to create it in our system, either on the web dashboard or in the Auguscope app. This will be where all of the historical data for this particular machine will be stored. Creating the machine is essentially setting the parameters for what level of vibration is expected and identifying the bearings where the readings need to occur.

Once you have the machine in our system, you can take a new reading on each bearing location on the machine. You will place the sensor in the correct location and start reading on the app, the Auguscope will collect the data and then move to the next recording point and repeat the process.

You will receive a preliminary health status for each machine you record. Augury has four statuses.

Acceptable indicates all looks good.

Monitor is a machine you need to keep an eye on.

Alarm indicates there is a need to schedule a repair.

Danger indicates the machine needs to be fixed soon.

The initial preliminary status displayed in the app while recording is a high-level overview for you. Once you are done taking recordings at a facility, you will submit that session to transmit the data to our cloud platform. Our artificial intelligence and algorithms will analyze the data. Once Augury has a full view of the data, we will send a report that outlines the details of what was found and suggest the next steps to ensure continued Machine Health.
