Compare Machines Tool 2.0

Anticipated Release Date: January 2022

Enhancements to the Compare Machines Tool allow users greater flexibility to benchmark specific machine behavior against other assets within their machine health program.

By conducting deeper comparative analysis, customers can make more strategic and informed decisions about their asset performance strategy.

What’s New?

  • New filtering and selection capabilities:

  • Machine group and additional parameters

  • Hierarchy

  • Machine Health Index (MHI)

  • Enhanced comparative analytics and functionality:

  • Manual timeline and flexible zoom

  • Machine metadata information

  • Adjustable vertical axis (unify or separate all graphs)

How It Works

1. Access the Compare Machines Tool by via different pages:

a. Platform Menu: Select ‘Compare

b. Machine Page: Select ‘Compare data’ at the bottom of the page

c. Analyst Platform: Select ‘Compare machine’ below the plane selector*

*The tool will automatically select the asset from the machine page or analyst page to be included in the comparison

2. Identify machines to compare in two ways:

a. Search for specific machines by their name in the search bar

b. Apply filters to refine the search results

3. The match main machine button enables users to easily search for comparable machines. Users can also utilize filters based on the following parameters to refine search results

a. Machine Group: is a segment of machines defined by the “machine type,” “sub-type,” “and “specific type” based on the machine’s metadata

b. Hierarchy: Access specific machines based on where they’ve been arranged

c. Machine Health Index (MHI): The machine’s current status (acceptable, monitor, alarm, danger)

4. Select show more parameters to define the Machine group with more granular operational settings including:

  • Orientation

  • Drive Configuration

  • Gearbox Configuration

  • Motor Current

  • Motor Power

  • Motor Speed

5. You can select up to 50 machines to compare side by side. You can configure the comparison analytics in numerous ways including:

a. MHI: Compare Machines by specific Machine Health Index

b. Planes: Hide or visualize data from specific machine planes

c. Machine Information: Select the dropdown to look at additional machine information

d. Time Period: Manually select the time period you would like to analyze and zoom in on specific periods

e. Feature: Select specific features to compare

f. Adjust vertical axis for all graphs: Unify or separate them
