Remounting the Halo R4000
When remounting the previously used/new Endpoint using an existing mounting pad, follow these steps:
NOTE: Each endpoint has a unique serial number, and each is linked to a specific bearing and orientation on a machine. When remounting several endpoints, be sure to return each one to its original location.
Screw the endpoint in place. Ensure the axis orientation is the same as when previously mounted.
Verify that the endpoint is mapped or perform mapping to the endpoint.
Replacing the Halo R4000
When replacing the Endpoint using a new mounting pad, follow these steps:
NOTE: Ensure the sensor is turned off when removing it from the machine. If installing a new endpoint, make sure to dispose of the removed EP in the Electronic Recycle Waste Center on-site.
Remove the installed endpoint. Use the necessary tools to remove the glued stud from the machine.
Removing used stud. Disconnect the endpoint from the used stud.
Clean the machine surface and prepare a new stud for installation (see Preparing the R4000 Endpoint: Fin or Flat Mount).
Follow the installation process to reinstall the endpoint. Make sure to install the endpoint in the same orientation as the previous one.
Verify that the endpoint is mapped or perform mapping to the endpoint.
