It delivers precise fault diagnostics, root cause analysis, and detailed instructions on what needs to be done to avert machine failures and improve machine performance. Managed diagnostics
Managed Diagnostics (CR-MD) is an add-on that expands Machine Health coverage to previously underdiagnosed asset types that have slow rotation speeds (between 150 - 300 RPM) as well as highly intermittent running machines.
These machines are chronically under-diagnosed across the industry due to the challenges in monitoring them but are super critical. When they go down, they can easily account for more than 50% of downtime (and, for hard-to-repair machines, can cause up to 90% of downtime).
CR-MD provides a vast improvement on older monitoring techniques, such as route-based ultrasound monitoring. Because of the many challenges to monitoring such systems and the focus on higher system sensitivity to prevent downtime, there is a slightly higher expected risk of missed faults as well as more false alarms/alarm noise.
However, using CR-MD you can expect about 98% accuracy, compared to our CR offering for most of your assets, which provides 99.9% accuracy in terms of fault detection and low false alarms.
Do note that in the case of highly intermittent operating machines - these machines need to be operated in such a manner that Augury is able to capture sufficient data to enable monitoring and diagnostics - please reach out to your Augury team for an evaluation of your machine’s operating parameters and eligibility for CR-MD.

CR-MD uses custom-built feature thresholds, set by VAs or the customer.

When a threshold is crossed, users automatically receive alerts.
The relevant machines are flagged as CR-MD on the Machine Health page and have frequent manual review by VAs.

Specialized monitoring
Specialized Monitoring (CR-SM) is an add-on that expands Machine Health coverage to previously underdiagnosed asset types that have ultra-slow rotation speeds (less than 150 RPM), machines that change speed during normal operations, and non-rotating machines.
These critical machines are chronically under-diagnosed across the industry because they are extremely challenging to monitor. In some cases, failures on these highly specialized machines can account for more than 50% of downtime losses.
Using Augury’s Specialized Monitoring, you can now enable continuous monitoring of these assets with a customized monitoring regime and prevent downtime more effectively than route-based or periodic monitoring programs.
Do note, that due to the nature of a customized monitoring regime and because of the inherent difficulty in monitoring such machines (such as very weak vibration signals), fault detection accuracy and false alarms/noise levels could vary significantly.

Augury VAs work together with the customer to set up a customized monitoring regime based on the needs of the machine being monitored. They leverage available anomaly detectors and manage a combination of asset-specific features, with additional threshold-based triggers to alert users
CR-SM uses a customized monitoring regime designed based on customer needs. A customized monitoring regime could be a combination of AI features and anomaly detection, threshold-based alerts, and enhanced analyst reviews of machines.
The relevant machines are flagged as CR-SM on the Machine Health page.

Examples of CR-SM feature thresholds:
For ultra-low RPM - the VA may set up custom thresholds on Velocity RMS that listen for specific patterns unique to failures on these machines.
For other types of non-rotating assets, VAs may look at setting up customized threshold monitoring regimes
