Sending Machine Data to Augury

Updated over 4 months ago

How Augury Sends It's Data

Augury’s full-stack Machine Health solution uses sensors that continuously capture the machines’ vibration, temperature, and magnetic data.

These sensors, known as Endpoints (EP), transmit data to a Node that transmits the data to the Augury cloud.

The connection to the Augury cloud is via:

  • Cellular

  • Wireless

  • Wired Ethernet connection

The Endpoints transmit their data via Bluetooth to the Node >> the Node sends the data onward using one of the following options.

Cellular Connection

Cellular connection is easier and faster to deploy, but it depends on the availability of the cellular network.

This option incurs additional costs when provided by Augury.

To learn how more about the Augury cellular solution, how to set it up, and how to install the necessary hardware go to The Augury Cellular Solution article.

Wireless Connection

The Node transmits the data via Wi-Fi to the Augury cloud.

To learn how to configure a wireless connection go to the Configuring a Wireless Connection article.

Wired Ethernet Connection

Wired Ethernet is the most robust option, with a direct and permanent connection from the Node.
