Centrifugal, Between Bearing Pumps

Updated over 3 months ago

Install Locations

Overhung Pumps only have one location where the shaft goes into the pump body, and the shaft does not come out the other side of the pump. In contrast, Between Bearing pumps have a bearing supporting the shaft on both sides of the pump, and the shaft goes through the pump body to the other side. There are several designs of between bearing pumps, this is one example.

Look for lubrication ports and install on the piece of metal which is holding the bearing in place. Do not install on the Mechanical Seal or Packing, which can look like a bearing housing, but is usually installed right on the pump body.
