Introduction
The Asset List is Augury’s tool for capturing the respective scope of machines to be monitored at each facility.
Within the template are fields covering the Build Data and the Metadata for each respective asset.
These details allow Augury to confirm each machine is a good fit as well as enable the monitoring solution to conduct an effective analysis of each machine
The Asset List helps Augury to:
- Defines the correct scope
- Builds the operating details of the machine to make our analysis more accurate
- Defines the correct materials and installation needs (ex, LOTO, Haz Area, etc.)
When does the asset list need to be submitted to Augury, and why is it important?
The final asset list needs to be submitted before the Deployment process can begin. It is important to submit the finalized asset list as soon as possible so that Augury can first ensure that each machine can be supported and, secondly, so the preparation for the installation process can begin.
Where do I start? What machines should I pick?
It starts with the criticality rankings of your machines.
What is your role?
- Reach out with questions about the template.
- Complete the initial Asset List scope (Header cells + Columns A - X) as soon as possible for approval and total machine counts.
- Start collecting the metadata.
The process consists of 3 steps.
- Step 1: Asset Scope Process - Populated the customers and/or Augury personnel
- Step 2: Metadata Collection - Populated by the customers
- Step 3: Installation site survey- populated by Augury personal
NOTE: The Asset List should be complete with metadata (columns Y - AK) before the field engineer site survey visit (step 3)
Step 1: Asset Scope Process - populated by Augury personal
Company, site, and machine information.
In the image below, you can see a table describing how to fill out the form.
The actual file is attached below.
Step 2: Metadata Collection - Populated by the customers
Machines’ locations, equipment and model information, Ethernet and WiFi information, and more.
A template form is available at the end of this document.

FAQs
Who typically completes the asset list?
Asset lists are usually completed by your facility's engineering/maintenance team leaders. Any key stakeholders for the facility should be involved in the process so that everyone is aligned on the future scope of the program.
What are explosive environment definitions?
Fire or explosion hazards may exist due to the presence of flammable gases, vapors, liquids, or combustible dust.
These areas are usually designated by a classification such as: C1D2, C2D2, Atex Zone 2, Atex Zone 22, etc..
Who approves the assets ultimately?
Our company specialists go over the information provided and determine if our continuous monitoring solution can support these machines.
We look for several key aspects to fit into place. Amongst those are: Can our machine learning algorithms measure and analyze these types of machines, and if so, is the machine within the range of it for continuous monitoring?
What happens when we cannot support an asset?
When a specialist flags a machine on the list, we consult internally within a larger forum. We also often involve our algo experts and our vibration analysts.
If a custom solution can be applied, we communicate this decision to the customer, ensuring their understanding and alignment.
