How can your OEM Partners Offer Better Service through Machine Health?

Options

While Augury gives you the insight you need to make the proper changes, what if you could get the benefit of the insights plus expert service on the machines that matter?

The OEMs you partner with today don’t always have access to the same machine health insights as you may be used to at your facility. So service agreement visits are time-based and may not be the highest or best use of time. OEMs who have expert service teams can also have challenges remotely diagnosing equipment. So when you need their help with a problem machine, you may incur expensive emergency costs and/or delays resolving the root cause.  Whether the delays are a result of spare part lead time, technician availability, or an inability to resolve the issue the first time, they all could be remedied by knowing the machine’s health.

But what about you? On what equipment or with which OEM would you like to see a service agreement offering that included machine health from Augury? What benefits or concerns do you anticipate from an OEM offering their services enabled by Augury insights?

This is a great article Scott. The opportunity here to leverage OEM Services to supplement the depleting maintenance workforce is massive. This is specifically true for some of the more complex equipment or larger OEM system integrators. Enabling the OEM to provide additional insights into the fault detections and scheduling service visits before machine failure would have a great impact. There's nothing worse than having a production line down and waiting for an OEM expert to travel to the site or ship a spare part.

This is a very important topic, @Scott Stephens. I cannot stress enough the significance of integrating this technology into new pieces of equipment during the capital expenditure phase. It is crucial for us to consider full-service agreements where the OEM supports the machine monitoring process while ensuring seamless communication between sensors and HMIs within the factory. This comprehensive approach will undoubtedly enhance overall efficiency and maintenance practices, leading to better outcomes in the long run.

  • Great points and insights here, Gentlemen. There are definitely synergies with Augury insights and OEM services to help alleviate pains like labor shortages and unplanned downtime in order to produce better maintenance and yield outcomes.

@Jorge Murillo, where do you see these synergies most - mostly on new equipment/line projects or rebuild projects or also on existing equipment? Where do those more comprehensive maintenance agreements make the most sense?

@Scott Stephens , there is tremendous potential in adopting Augury technology for new equipment. As we replace or upgrade systems each year, there is a possibility of sourcing fully integrated solutions that incorporate Augury's capabilities. By implementing Augury from the outset, we can proactively monitor and maintain these new systems, optimizing their performance and minimizing downtime. I'm thinking about a cleaner baselines for diagnostics with OEM collaboration.
